Miura Co. Ltd. has developed new technology for sample purification processes, such as dioxin cleanup and introduced a new line of automated dioxin cleanup systems which are now available in Europe:
These fully automated sample purification systems are operated with a set of four chromatography columns for each sample. These high performance dioxin cleanup columns are vacuum sealed and have a user-friendly design, which allows the operator to program dioxin sample purification without switching valves.
After ‘clapping’ the column set together, the entire dioxin cleanup procedure is carried out without direct ‘sample-system contact’, meaning you do not need to worry about cross-contamination. Furthermore, no column conditioning nor washing programs are required saving time and money. Because the samples do not flow through any valve, clogging problems also are an issue of the past.
All of the four columns are heated during the dioxin purification process which results in an amazing boost in chromatography efficiency and an extremely low solvent consumption. Solvents used are hexane and little amount toluene. There is no dichloromethane involved, therefore harmful solvent and vapour exposure to laboratory personnel is significantly decreased.
